Keith Jakobsen

Keith Jakobsen has degrees in Architecture, Environmental Design, and a diploma in Architectural Technology.

He has twenty years of experience designing single-family residences and vacation properties, renovating and restoring heritage homes, advocating for environmentally responsible projects, and designing a unique assortment of commercial interiors.

In addition to his design work, Keith worked for many years at Vancouver City Hall in the Planning Department as both a Heritage and Development Planner. He has also served on two City of Vancouver committees as a heritage advisor for Chinatown and as staff advisor for the First Shaughnessy Advisory Design Panel.

Keith's award winning designs have been featured locally and internationally in many publications including: Harrowsmith Country Life, Century Home, Western Living, Woman's Day, Cottage Magazine, The Vancouver Sun, and The Vancouver Courier Newspaper.

Christopher Mattock
B.A.Env.Des.
Christopher Mattock is a design professional specializing in energy efficient and environmentally responsive buildings, energy analysis, building science consulting, ventilation system design, construction industry training, and environmental program and curriculum development. Chris has an architectural degree from the University of Washington and 26 years experience in the construction industry in Canada, Japan, and the USA.

He is the founder of Habitat Design & Consulting Ltd., and the director of both International Eco-House and Urban Ecology Design Collaborative. He is an advisor for energy utilities, Provincial and National Code Authorities, as well as being an active member of the B.C. Building Envelope Council. He is currently an instructor for the Architectural Institute of B.C.'s Building Envelope Course.

Tracy Douglas
BID, LEED® Trainee
Tracy has been with Jakobsen Associates for 2 1/2 years. Prior to this, she studied Interior Design and Architecture in Canada and Israel where she earned several awards and recognition, including the Kwantlen Peer Leadership Award (2002) and a scholarship from Design Resource Association for highest overall grades. Tracy will also soon receive her LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Accreditation for design professionals.

Tracy's professional goal is to create designs that support the surrounding environment as well as the individual. She specializes in environmental (sustainable) architecture/ interior design, and web & graphic design. She has traveled extensively and speaks Hebrew, Japanese, and Spanish.
